Ninjutsu

Today was Ninjutsu non-stop. We had this unarmed combat, also called tai-jutsu. The art of the body. And hell, did i make today, one hell of a evening. Since I’m tall, every one’s going for my collarbone – the weakspot for tall people. So sensei taught me a reversal, not just to block the collar-bone-drag, but also to place my opponent in a disadvantage position.

So far, I’ve been using my trademark, the arm break, but I call it the shadow strike.

I’ll trick my oponent to a premature strike, then grab his attacking hand. Twist it, then with my free hand, I’ll strike his ribs or back. It worked three times on three different people! Until I got to this mean guy got Joseph. I got him in the end, but he was so strong that I actually sprained my finger and neck while in combat.

Note to self: When fighting Joseph, don’t attack his chest. The’re made of steel. Instead, attack his leg. They are weak like hell. His arms are so strong, but his legs are so weak. Tripping him is the only way to go.

Dang, now my whole body is aching. Ouchie….

One Response to “Ninjutsu”

  1. Reminds me of when I started training back in 1995. Most instructors didn’t like to use sparring in class, but my sensei thought otherwise. We wanted to see how all the techniques and principles we learned would apply in all out combat.

My body would ache after those sparring sessions, but it was well worth it to learn.
